Hygienic dispenser
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a hygienic dispenser for edible articles, which comprises additional hygiene and dosage characteristics. Background of the invention
All types of packaging are used extensively in trade throughout the world, which packaging is made from any set of materials and with any set of sizes. There are even examples where the packages themselves are used as a kind of dispensing container, especially in the food packaging industry.
The problem is that most of these containers are sort of bags or trays, where the consumer has to put his hand inside to grab the food. If the packaging is shared with different people, this can cause hygiene problems.
This is becoming an increasing problem in the globalist world we live in today, with epidemics widespread (for example, SARS). These diseases can spread rapidly geographically, infecting large numbers of people. In this respect, cleanliness and hygiene have become an important point of attention in public areas, especially if food items are involved.
Document US 5 551 604 describes a relatively hygienic dispenser for dispensing bulk foods such as gum treats or nuts. The dispenser comprises a rotatable scoop attached to a storage bin. This makes the dispenser bulky and less flexible.
Document US 2007 022 971 describes a substance-dispensing pet toy. It includes an inner chamber and dispensing openings located on opposite sides of each other. However, the document does not describe different reservoirs that are desired for hygienic dispensing.
Document WO 2005/04 711 describes a container comprising an outer shape with a compartment on the inside; however, it is intended as a toy and the document does not state any hygienic features.
There is also a need for a flexible and easily dosable dispenser. Also a dispenser suitable for creating different designs and making on-trade applications more recognizable for bars, hotels and restaurants.
In order to address the problems mentioned above, it is clear that there remains a need for more efficient food packaging / dispensers.
Summary of the invention
The present invention addresses this problem by providing a device for easy and clean dispensing of all types of edible articles. A device used for packaging and dispensing edible articles and comprising at least two reservoirs: a) an inner reservoir suitable for storing edible articles, comprising at least one opening, b) an outer reservoir comprising at least one opening characterized in that said inner reservoir is present in the outer reservoir, the openings of both reservoirs being placed on opposite sides.
Brief description of the invention
The present invention describes a dispensing device comprising two reservoirs, one present in the other, wherein a dispenser is provided, wherein only the edible articles intended for immediate personal consumption are touched. This provides a major improvement regarding hygienic issues.
The original 'turning' movement, which is necessary for dispensing the edible articles, also contributes to the pleasure factor and makes the invention even more recognizable to consumers.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS FIG. 1: the reservoirs of the dispenser shown according to the present invention. FIG. 2: the dispenser according to the present invention. FIG. 3: an exploded view of a possible embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 4: examples of possible covers for the embodiment.
Detailed description of the invention
The present invention comprises a dispenser with at least two reservoirs: a first inner reservoir with a cylindrical hollow shaped reservoir with an opening at the top, in which the edible products can be stored / packaged. A second outer hollow reservoir contains the inner reservoir, which outer reservoir comprises a dispensing opening at the bottom on the opposite side of the opening at the top of the inner reservoir.
Another feature of the present invention is the "turning" action. The operation comprises two steps after filling the dispenser with edible products. The dispenser must first be turned upside down to release the edible products from the inner reservoir. The edible products are now present in the outer reservoir. In the next step, the dispenser can be rotated back to its original position to dispens the articles through the dispensing opening at the bottom. This feature provides a hygienic improvement when the dispenser is shared with other people, for example in bars and restaurants.
The inner reservoir is used to accommodate the edible items. These can be one or more edible products, for example nut crackers, potato chips and mixtures thereof. The edible articles may also include spices and / or other cooking-related products. The inner reservoir may also include several compartments to make the dispenser more flexible and to accommodate different contents (e.g., salt and pepper). For example, unsalted peanuts and salt or other spices can be dosed separately in one compartment.
In a preferred embodiment, as shown in Figure 1 & 2, the inner reservoir will take the form of a sphere with a diameter ranging from 55 mm to 85 mm, with at least one opening at the top with a diameter ranging from 10 mm to 50 mm. The inner reservoir may comprise multiple openings depending on the application. This opening (s) at the top may be further segmented in accordance with the contemplated application and resulting dosages. The segmentation itself can be the result of the compartmentalisation of the inner reservoir itself. When the inner reservoir assumes the shape of a sphere, the outer reservoir can also take the shape of a sphere with a diameter ranging from 65 mm to 105 mm to accommodate the inner reservoir. The diameter of the opening at the bottom of the outer reservoir varies from 60 mm to 95 mm. These dimensions have been chosen to ensure that the dispenser is handy, has a handy handle and makes dosing adjusted to the volume and type of dispensing medium.
The outer reservoir preferably comprises two parts: an upper and lower part. This is done in order to be able to open the dispenser easily and to (re) fill the inner reservoir with edible articles. The upper and lower parts are preferably coupled to each other by fastening means. Such fixing means include snap closures, connectors, a connecting edge or the like. These fasteners must make it possible to turn the upper and lower parts easily. The inner reservoir, which is present in the outer reservoir, can be made in one piece together with the lower part of the outer reservoir. The inner reservoir can also be made as a package, so that when the inner reservoir is empty, the entire inner reservoir can easily be exchanged for a full (full) / new (new) reservoir / package. The two . outer parts may comprise fasteners, such as fin-shaped parts, which secure the inner reservoir to the outer reservoir. These fasteners can also guide the edible articles to the opening at the bottom of the bottom part.
When the inner reservoir comprises more than one compartment, as shown in Figure 3, the upper part 1 of the outer reservoir may be provided with means for selecting a specified compartment 2 by making a rotational movement to dispense only a selected edible article .
In further improving the dosage feature in the opening at the bottom of the outer reservoir, an adjustable dosage means may also be provided. This can be in the form of a rotating tool to vary the size of the opening. Figure 3 shows that conductive fin-shaped parts can also be used to vary the dosing opening at the bottom. These conductive fin-shaped parts 3 are adjustable by turning the upper part of the outer reservoir, whereby the conductive fin-shaped parts of the upper part of the outer reservoir are displaced with respect to the conductive fin-shaped parts of the bottom part 4 of the outer reservoir the opening is varied, through which articles must go. The amount of conductive fin-shaped parts can vary as the dimensions of the dispenser change or the embodiment changes. Other means for varying the aperture can also be used.
Other attachments with all types of functions can be connected to the opening at the bottom of the outer reservoir. Such attachments may further comprise dosing means, grinding means, cutting means or the like.
Another preferred embodiment of the present invention is seen in Figure 4. The outer reservoir may partially cover the inner reservoir. This embodiment can be used in kitchens for dosing liquids, such as all types of oils and vinegars, also for holding and dosing spices. The inner reservoir is provided with a lid for this purpose. This lid can be exchanged and the shape can vary depending on the contents, as seen in Figure 5.
The present invention is preferably made of a polymer. This can be any type of polymer, such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polyethylene terephthalate, polycarbonate or the like. Even biodegradable polymers can be used. The dispenser can have transparent parts or be completely transparent.
The dispenser can include other decorative patterns, words or brand names. Alternative embodiments may be formed such as numerous other objects.
The above objects are obtained separately or in combination and it is not intended that the present invention be interpreted in the sense that it requires the combining of two or more of the objects, unless expressly required by the appended claims.
